Ok, here's my plan for a college football playoffs
Have a poll of polls determine top 16 teams (for this example I used top 16 BCS teams) play four round playoffs. End the regular season at 9 games, so the most any team will play is 13 weeks.

Tempe, Arizona
1. Oklahoma vs. 16. BYU
5. USC vs. 12. Cincinnati
SOUTHWEST FINAL – FIESTA BOWL

New Orleans, LA
2. Florida vs. 15. Georgia
6. Utah vs. 11. TCU
SOUTHEAST FINAL – SUGAR BOWL

Miami, Fl
3. Texas vs. 14. Georgia Tech
7. Texas Tech vs. 10. Ohio State
MIAMI FINAL – ORANGE BOWL

Los Angeles, CA
4. Alabama vs. 13. Oklahoma State
8. Penn State vs. 9. Boise State
WEST FINAL – ROSE BOWL

CHAMPIONSHIP – SITE OF WHEREVER SUPERBOWL IS HELD

1. Every Division 1 team should play every other team in a home and home series
Then there should be a tournament where every team is invited.

That's the only fair way to determine who the best college football team is.
