I hate when new posters are unfairly labeled as trolls.

Seriously, it drives me nuts.
I know a lot of them ARE, but every new poster deserves a fresh start. I mean, if their first post is 'fuck Obama! Rush Rulz!!' they're obviously a troll. However, if somebody posts an opinion that is legitimate, not supportive of Republican causes, but disagrees with what many DUer's might think, you can be guaranteed that some DUer's will be 'smelling pizza'.
We were all new at one point. It's not easy to find your niche here, or to find your way.
Why don't we try keeping that in mind before we pile on the newbies?

I don't presume to know anyone's lineage. The Democratic party has pulled in a lot of people this past year who were not here when being a Democrat was unfashionable. Given the low post count and the comment made it wasn't unreasonable to be suspicious, but a search on their previous posts would have led me to give them a pass on this one. Having what could be perceived as a somewhat conservative stance on a certain issue is not unusual here and doesn't necessarily mean the person is a troll.

It's good to have a sound reason before insulting someone by calling them a troll. I remember being called a troll once in my early days here. It was stupid, unfair, not true, and not appreciated.
