When was the last time you threw money away? |
|
Last week I spent $25 on an AMTRAK ticket I ended up not using because I caught a ride. Hope I can still use it sometime in the future. I don't even have the physical ticket or a confirmation number.

1. If you truly love something, throw it away. If you're meant to have it, |
|
it will come back to you.
Maybe it found someone else!

2. Isn't that "set it free" --- not "throw it away"? |

4. When I was in college we were cleaning out our apartment in residence. I had a whole jar |
|
of pennies. I didn't want to pack it. I didn't have anyone who wanted it. I threw it in the garbage. I LITERALLY THREW MONEY AWAY.

9. They may have taken it anyway |

When I lived in El Paso, there were at least two dumpster divers in the dumpster down the street every day.
I've seen the trash men pick stuff out when they empty a dumpster and the workers at the dump sometimes pick stuff out as well.
It's amazing how many times trash gets picked through.

I buy theater subscriptions so I will be compelled to go out in the winter. I used to "plan" to go to the theater in the winter and then buy no tickets and stay at home vegetating for months. Now I buy subscriptions to kind of force myself out the door but in the end I will throw about $100 to $150 away per year because I am so strongly inclined to cocoon in the winter, though I hate what it does to my brain. I feel guilty but I have found that it is too much work even to give the ticket away since I am telling myself that I WILL go up to about a few hours before the show when I admit to myself that, no I won't. So there is some leakage in my investment but in the end I do manage to use most of the tickets so the plan is still a success.
