5. You forgot "ye"

That was the usual plural form in English until the 17th or 18th Century.
The Irish used that plural into the 20th Century. (My mother used to say it.) Don't know when they stopped using it.

19. I thought "ye" was the formal form of "thee," just as "you" is the formal form
of "thou"

The distinctions you/ye and thou/thee mostly vanished and the corresponding distinction who/whom is in decline

You/thou will smite whom?
Who will smite ye/thee?

20. I just checked the dictionary
Ye is second person plural archaic or regional.

As I said, my mother was Irish and used it a second person plural.

23. Wikipedia says I got it backwards
Ye/you apparently corresponds to thou/thee, and ye/you were simultaneously the plural and formal singular forms of thou/thee

So thou art right that "ye" be plural, and I right that "ye" be singular formal, but "ye" were once the plural of "thou" afore "thou" wert forgot, afterwards remaining in some parts the plural of the new singular "you," though in other parts the plural of the new singular "you" remained the old plural

7. the plural of y'all is "all y'all"
Edited on Sun Jun-06-10 09:04 AM by Tuesday Afternoon
:)

http://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/yall.html

“How y’all doin’?” If you are rendering this common Southernism in print, be careful where you place the apostrophe, which stands for the second and third letters in “you.”

Note that “y’all” stands for “you all” and is properly a plural form, though some southern speakers treat it as a singular form and resort to “all y’all” for the plural. Most southerners reserve “all y’all” to mean “each and every one of you.” Then there is the occasional case in which the speaker is addressing someone representing a store or other institution composed of several people: “Do y’all sell shop vacs?”

15. Yup. :)
"All y'all" can also be used to refer to multiple people who aren't present in the conversation but still indicated.

For example, when you're talking to just one person and you say, "We're havin' a barbecue on Sunday, so why don't all y'all come over?" the invitation includes the person you're speaking to and his/her family.
