Dad and I had a good day today

I haven't always got along well with dad, but with age we have both mellowed and now we get along pretty good. I took him out to dinner at his favorite restaurant today, along with my sisters, and got him a game for his Wii. He's the only 58 year old gamer I've run across. :)

I think we have come a long way. He is retired so he has a lot of free time now days. I was telling him about my new job and how I might be running out to Utah quite a bit. He said that he would like to ride along with me some time. He's never seen the plains and the western states with their beautiful mountain ranges. There was a time when that wouldn't have sounded like such a good idea, but now days I think it would be really fun and I told him so.

3. I have a deal on the truck

My loan has been approved and they agreed to fix some minor problems with the truck as a part of the deal. Everything seems to be going good. I will have most of my bills set up for automatic payment tomorrow. Still have lots to do, but I'm getting there.
