What TV should I buy for my bedroom?
Our bedroom TV seems to have died today. I don't want to fix that old thing. I want a new one.

We don't play video games or stuff like that, but I'd like to be able to view either streaming or downloaded content on it without an add-on box (we have an add-on box on our main TV, and I wish it were integrated into the TV instead).

We don't need a huge TV either. A moderate size, with extended media capabilities is what I'm thinking.

Any thoughts?

A 26" Insignia HD at Best Buy. Good picture.

It was around $325.

3. I recently bought a big Sony LCD.
I was going to buy a plasma (cheaper) but knew that glare would be an issue. Went with a smaller but same-priced Sony.

8. I have had consistent good experiences with Samsung LCD and Panasonic plasma
I've had Samsung LCD TVs in the 37" - 46" range, and Panasonic plasmas in 42" and 50". All had PC inputs, and two of the Samsungs allowed direct (though limited) streaming content. Best to get a recent Blu-Ray player with streaming capabilities and wi-fi for online entertainment.

9. Whatever size you decide to buy, pay the extra $50 and get the next bigger size.
I have always regretted when I have not done this. I have a 50" Panasonic plasma in the living room and a 35" Insignia in the bedroom which is very nice.

A Roku set top box will stream videos for you nicely. I am currently watching Dexter Season 1 with Netflix streaming video and it looks great. I also use it to rent streaming movies from Amazon. I do not have cable or satellite and watch my tv free and over the air in high definition.

13. That's what we did..
I was checking out, about to have a 42 inch rung up and at the last minute requested a 50 inch be rung up instead cuz it was only 100 dollars more.
Ended up getting Samsung 50 inch plasma and love it.

16. Smart move, you won't regret it.
When I was looking for a tv for my living room about a year ago I was looking at a 42" Panasonic plasma because my old tv was a 30" crt high def and I regretted not getting the 34" model. So I decided to spend the extra $100 to get the 50".

18. well, actually
I bought a TV/VCR combo today for 15 bucks off craigslist and I bought it for my bedroom.

I bought it because I was tired of the hassles I've encountered with digital recording. It's small, doesn't take up much space, plus I can watch lots of inexpensive or free content on it because nobody wants that technology anymore.
