Zomby's Grill Today: Babyback Ribs, smoked with hickory!
Come on over to Zomby's today, and get your babyback ribs fresh from a smokin' Weber kettle grill.

Marinaded overnight in extra virgin olive oil, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, crushed garlic, parsley, pepper, dry mustard, and balsamic vinegar...

My homemade sauce is a guarded secret, but will contain Jack Daniel's and an habanero. It will also be smoked in a sauce pot on the covered grill.

Cole slaw and potato salad served up too! Come and get it. :P

5. nope
They will be smoked and grilled over a drip pan of water. This process has proven enormously successful for keeping the meat melt-in-your-mouth moist and tasty.

You're not trying to start a barbecue "flame" war now, are ya?

Edited on Sun Apr-04-04 12:26 PM by Rabrrrrrr
It's just that some people don't understand how to make BBQ. Drip pans of water are for idiots. A real barbeque - which you would know if you were from (choose some state you aren't in) where they make smoked ribs the RIGHT way and properly use not a drip pan, but a coffee can filled with apple vinegar that sits on the coals for a half hour BEFORE you put the ribs in.

Freak.

(Hey, as an aside, I woke up this morning with "I want a nun. I want a nun. I want a burro!" running through my head)

7. BBQ flame wars are some of the worst
I am only extending a dinner invitation. If people don't like the way I do mine... :nuke: :D

Seriously though, the great thing about BBQ is that there is NO single right way. How limited is that? We're liberals, not fascists. I think. BBQ nazis!!

Sing along with me... "Zom-beeeee's babyback ribs! Zomby's babyback ribs! (I want my babybackbabyback....)"

10. It's amazing the things people flame war over
especially with stuff as unimportant as food cooking styles: whether to boil or not to boil ribs (of course one shouldn't, not good for the meat), or "proper" New England Clam Chowder, or "proper" chili...

sheesh.

Like that famous jazz guy says, who Peter Schickele always mentions on his show, and I retranslate, "If it tastes good, it is good"

35. Oh, yeah, Michigan cheese so TOTALLY sucks!
I don't blame you for bringing it in from elsewhere. I was appalled when I lived there how impossible it was to get good cheese.

And while I'm sure there are some fine artisinal cheesemakers there, for themost part Michiganders have no clue how cheese is to be made.

California doesn't either, except for the more expensive artisnal ones.

And to let you know - I offer timed payments on the artwork so you could have an original for as little as $50 a month. PlUS, you don't have to wait until you've paid for the whole thing: I'll ship when you've paid for half.

Much easier to do it that way than to keep waiting until you have the full amount, I think.

We had hail and snow showers yesterday, and Elden Mountain (right across the street) has fresh snow. Nothing stuck to the ground down here.

It's 38 and cloudy right now, may hit low 40's later. :hi:
