How does a Red Sox - Padres World Series sound?
Edited on Tue Apr-06-04 05:42 PM by maveric
The revamped Padres are in line to contend for the first time in 6 years. The additions of Brian Giles, David Wells, and Ramon Hernandez, along with a healthy Phil Nevin and Ryan Klesko could push the "Pads" into the post season for the first time since they won the NL pennant in 1998. Plus they have a beautiful, new, baseball only ballpark.

The Sox, I believe, have the best all around team in the AL and seem to have deep pockets to add more talent during the season if needed.

An East coast - West coast series would be a big hit.

3. Their young pitchers are coming of age.
And Trevor Hoffman is healthy. Look at this lineup on paper.

They have gone from last to best a couple times allready.

5. I'm a Bostonian living in San Diego and that would make my year.
My kids, born and raised here, would root for the "Pads", while I would be there for my "Sox".
