Who Is A Japanese Minimalist Composer with DVDs? |
|
I'm hoping someone here can name this guy or his films for me.
I saw a DVD at a friend's home last week (he's out of the country for Easter, so I can't ask him). This DVD had some sort of Japanese title on its cover--possibly an MGM DVD--and the film, or at least the few minutes I caught of it, had a series of images with minimalist music playing alongside the images. He's quite famous, but I can't find him on amazon.com, mgm, com, or anyplace.
Do you have any idea who this guy is?

Sadly, I don't think those are the composers. Thanks, though.
Anyway, these DVDs simply had bizarre images with this minimalist music playing all the time. The DVDs were MGM, I think, though I cannot find them on their site or amazon.com.
