Dear Judge Charles E. Pazar

I understand that you will be hearing Dr. Bayakly's case on October 27th. I sincerely hope that Dr. Bayakly and his wife and four children will be able to remain living in our country, which has become their home. All four of Dr. Bayakly's children have been born in Memphis. Dr. Bayakly has lived in the United States since 1979, always keeping valid visas.

Please remember the many contributions that Dr. Bayakly has made to the community in Memphis, including teaching at the University of Memphis, and founding and directing Masjid-AnNoor, a Mosque in Memphis. In addition, Dr. Bayakly has translated bio-terrorism manuals for the FBI, after September 11th, 2001. He has been a voice for peace and justice, and interfaith dialogue. He has not been charged with any specific crime by the INS, nor by any other law enforcement branch.

Our country needs more community leaders like Dr. Bayakly, people who
work hard, take care of their families, and contibute to their community. Dr. Bayakly is a respected and honored community, university, and religious leader. I hope that Dr. Bayakly and his family can remain in their home of many years.

Thank you very much for considering this letter.

Sincerely, your name
