Hi everyone! Less than 3 months to go until the Boston Social Forum! Hard to believe, but true. July 23-25, 2004 at the University of Massachusetts at Boston for those of you who may have forgotten.
The big news in this month’s report is in program and fundraising—although in general we’d have to say that April was the month when the BSF organizing effort came into full flower. Dozens of people are now working regularly to make the BSF happen, and we couldn’t be more pleased.
In that vein, we’d also like to say up front that we mention a number of areas that we’re looking for volunteers in in this report, and that if you have some time to spare and some skills to share—even if you’re not in the Boston area—by all means drop us a line. We’ll find something for you to do. You’ll see this info like 10 times in this message, but we can be reached at info@bostonsocialforum.org , or 617-338-9966. And feel free to encourage all and sundry to preregister for the BSF on our website at www.bostonsocialforum.org, or mail in $30 per working adult, or $15 per low income folks, students or seniors to: Boston Social Forum, 33 Harrison Ave., 4th Flr., Boston, MA 02111. Organizations plugged into the BSF organizing process should ask for one of our preregistration kits that include prereg materials and BSF brochures for 25 people. More available as needed.
