Crime is campaign issue #1 for me.
Not street crime.

I'm referring to the really big stuff. Corporate crime, organized crime, military crime. The kind of crime that impacts nations and peoples. The kind of crime that lurks beneath chronic campaign issues. The kind of crime actively ignored by mainstream media, FBI statistics, and the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches. The kind of crime that is Too Big To Fix. The kind of crime that Naomi Klein writes about.

Words like waterboarding, wiretapping, and wirefraud have become the 'parse of the day'. How much more scandalous gravitation is required before people start talking about the elephants in the room?

Health care, education, immigration policy, trade policy, foreign policy... stop me when I get to a campaign issue that is not touched in fundamental ways by crimes both widespread and commonly known! The insidious kind of crime, soaked in plausible deniability and historical pretensions.

I am not aware of any Republican Presidential candidates of any use. I have heard some from Democratic Presidential candidates but not nearly enough. Are there any local or state candidates speaking up? Not in my neighborhood. How about yours?

I apologize in advance for any inappropriatenesses, this is also journal post #1 for me.
