Not a dup: Dean and civil rights |
|
This is NOT a dupe of another thread on Dean's misstatements!
The Washington Post reported on Dean going to Howard University: "one student asked if Dean would be willing to choose a black running mate. The governor demurred, saying it is too early for him to name possible vice presidential candidates. Another student wondered what Dean might do to lessen the number of African Americans in prison. Dean warned that "we can't get all weepy and liberal about this," but promised to treat substance abuse as a medical issue, rather than a "criminal problem."
We can't get all weepy and liberal about this? What does that mean?

There is more than one open thread on Dean's misstatements. Sorry.

3. Uh so we shouldn't get all weepy and liberal on it. |
|
We've got to face the problem at hand. At least that is what I got from the quote.
