Kerry Quote!!
“Five thousand years ago, Moses said ‘Hitch up your camel, pick up your shovel, mount your ass and I will lead you to the promised land.’
Five thousand years later, Franklin Roosevelt said ‘Light up a camel, lay down your shovel, sit on your ass. This is the promised land!’
Today, George Bush will lay off your camel, tax your shovel, kick your ass and tell you there is no promised land!”
--John Kerry

1. I love the quote but, I think someone else said this first.
But, so what :) I've always like John Kerry he's my number 2 choice. Clark/Kerry Kerry/Clark but, then again ABB!!!

7. I like those two together too
their policy positions seem very very close on so many issues. They both give me a sense of security - they won't be making horrible gaffes like the current Clown in Chief. I think Clark needs a little more exposure to the whole legislation thing, but he's obviously a very quick study.

2. :-D
another kerry quote:

My position on judicial nominations is clear: I will oppose, and filibuster if necessary, any Bush Supreme Court nominee who would turn back the clock on civil rights and protections against discrimination, on the right to privacy and the right to choose, on individual liberties and on the laws protecting workers and the environment. I have applied and will apply a similar standard to lower court judges. The stakes cannot be any higher.

3. First two lines are GOP and 40 years old and offensive - last line is

6. Kerry stole it from Larry Blue
Here's a link to his version, where Reagan is cited in the last part instead of Bush. It's clear to the bottom of the page. Be warned that the rest of the jokes on the page are not G rated or even PC.

4. Stop posting this old joke
It is not his joke, either. I first heard it was in the mid-eighties. It was told to me by my, then, girlfriend. At that time the but of the joke was Ronnie Raygun. I believe it is probably older than even that, to be honest.

8. "Stop posting this joke"???
I mean, if you want to say you're tired of hearing it, or you don't like it, that's one thing. But telling someone to stop posting something? Sheesh. :eyes:
