Equality Mississippi Endorses Sherman Lee Dillon
(JACKSON, MS – October 20, 2003) – With state primary elections having come and gone, candidates for different governmental positions have come down to the nitty gritty so to speak.
Equality Mississippi, Mississippi’s statewide gay and lesbian equality watchdog organization, now makes known its official candidate endorsements.
With the negativity that has surrounded the Governor’s race, the Equality Mississippi board of directors has decided that neither mainstream candidate is right to lead the State of Mississippi into the future.

a conservative black republican for mayor of Jackson. They're primarily a group of friends who run this "gay rights" group because no one else in the stays cares enough to object. I had a lengthly, totally, useless with their statewide director a couple of years ago.
No interest in Democrats/liberalism just interested in getting their names in the news.
Sherman Lee Dillon is a delightfully funny man and a good musician. He is not likely to take more than 3% of the vote-just enough to elect Haley Barbour.
Way to go, Jody R (head of EM)...Lets play right into their hands again.

The absolute last thing gays need is the reality of conservative governence and the perception they have part of the blame for it being there.
