JOHN KERRY - PATRIOT ACT is NECESSARY
http://www.nationalreview.com/may/may.asp

"But right now the Patriot Act is necessary — as Ashcroft has maintained, and as many prominent Democrats — John Kerry, John Edwards, Bob Graham, Tom Daschle, and Joe Biden among them — have attested."

2. He supposedly fought so hard against Bush during Iran Contra and BCCI
The elitist's true colors are showing. By the way, what ever happened to Iran Contra and BCCI? Has Kerry mentioned anything about Poindexter yet?

14. really?
Is the Kerry camp really promoting a video about Kerry's investigation into BCCI and Iran Contra? If so, I'd love to see it.

I kind of agree about the Deanites :)

20. Why doesn't Kerry state his position on the Patriot Act on his website?
What is attempting to avoid?

What is afraid of?

Why is he always trying to have it both ways?

Why can't he commit to a position?

22. I'm a Deanite and I'm WAITING to hear that "other point of view"
I would be all for Kerry being outraged and outspoken about BCCI and Iran-Contra. But it's just not happening. So you have it on a video, big whoop. Why isn't he making noise about it? After all, Iran-Contra IS still a boil on the ass of the Repukes, as far as I and many others are concerned. I want a president who is outspoken and not afraid to expose the cabal--the global-level drug-running money-laundering greedhead mass-murdering syndicate for who they are.

23. Because Kerry, like DLC, is afraid to criticize Bush
They would rather everyone shut up and cower and hope he goes away.

It's more like some Dean supporters getting fed up with some Kerry supporters recent attack tactics on Dean and using them against Kerry.

4. Kerry's OWN words: we need to fix the things that are wrong...
>>>>
Opponents say the Patriot Act represents a major assault upon civil liberties. But Kerry said Ashcroft’s biggest threats to civil liberties don’t stem from the Patriot Act itself, but other sources, such as his “misinterpretation” of a 1938 law now being used to classify some terrorism suspects as “enemy non-combatants.”

Kerry said he doesn’t support Ashcroft’s recent request for additional powers to combat terrorism.

“We need to fix the things that are wrong with the Patriot Act, addressing concerns about civil liberties and privacy,” he said.

7. There is NOTHING on Kerry's website
about the Patriot Act.

Like always, Kerry wants it both ways.

He is to much of a coward to stand up and make a decision.

Here, Kerry says that certain aspects of the Patriot Act are flawed, but the fundamental concept is right. He says that we need to fix the unlawful things about the Patriot Act.

(Oops, I didn't see BLM's post) This is the same article.
