FM Radio Freepers = Milwaukee Lazer 103 (Bob and Brian) |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-17-03 12:27 PM by Homer12
Here in the great City of Beer, we have two FM morning show neo-cons that constantly bash liberals the left, and all things democrat.
Sounding like carbon copies of what they hear on Rush and Hannity, the other day.
They are Called "Bob and Brian" still centered on the fact that Bill Clinton could get blow-jobs and they can't. I mean the crotch envey of these two is so great, they, like their rapid fire-breathing AM counter-parts still yearn for the day of democratic presidental sex scandals; And of course the liberal media playing of the refs spin as well is also a non-stop topic.
Lazer 103 also has another freeper loser who's non-stop attacks on anything non-conservative makes him another clone. He calls himself "Fish".
What a bunch of cloned idiots, they never back up any of their claims, sound just like Rush!!
The FM dial is no longer seperate from AM when it comes to politics anymore. It's hard to get distance anymore from the conservative attack machine. It's distrubing, I know it's freedom of speech, but still it sucks.
Anyway, does anybody else have neo-con freeper clones in their cities FM morning shows?
If so, how do they act?

I think that between the Bradleys' money and other Right-wing nuts Milwaukee talk radio is a shitty little conservative viper-mosh pit.

...is a well oiled attack machine, able to network and enrage and manipulating it's happy fools into what they want them to do.
St. Clone, Do you think they'll try to recall Doyle the first chance they get?

7. Most morning shows here are apolitical |
|
but we do have Jim Quinn, the man who turned pubbie after being sued by a female co worker for a sexually explict joke told on-air at her expense.
See, getting sued for telling a blowjob joke was just the evil feminists attacking his free speech you know.
He even has a pseudo-military gimmick as you can see at his site www.warroom.com
I bet he didn't serve either.

8. I really don't mind political talk,but... |
|
...what I hate is the attack style bashing.
I mean I can take a joke, but if it comes to the point where the FM music station is losing some of it's demographic due to this bashing; It must refelect the policy of the station after a time.
FM used to be a refuge from attack style neo-conervative bashing, even if I hated most of the music, at least I could get away from the hatred.
There loss, they barley advertise to me anymore anyway. That's why I listen to the 102.1 now in the Brew City, they can advertise to me instead.

10. What shocked me the most |
|
was that I went and looked up the station, and they weren't a Clear Channel affiliate.
See, for a while, I used to follow up all those 'DJs behaving badly' stories that came up on assorted newslogs. Seemed like at first, something like eighty percent of the freeper/moran/killing a pig in a parking lot incidents were Clear Channel affiliate stations.
But since that works for CC, eventually many more FM rock stations 'went Freep.' It sells $30,000 SUVs and bumps up the door at gentlemen's clubs (those seem to be the biggest FM radio advertisers anymore, car lots and strip clubs) to behave like manic third-graders on the air, that's why they do it.
I guess I have plenty of sympathy for those of you whose radio stations are just now going to hell. I grew up in Cincinnati -- FM commercial radio was already in the shitter by the time I dropped out of college in 1984, destroyed by Jacor. Jacor was an early acquisition of Clear Channel -- they developed a lot of the crappy tactics Clear Channel now uses to take over markets, like slandering other independent stations or mimicking their formats but using DJs who talk a lot of shit. Either the existing stations do the same or give up and let Clear Channel have their frequencies/call letters/listeners.

11. Fellow Milwaukeean here. |
|
I used to like listening to Showbiz News on the way to work, and to the interviews with local pro athletes -- I especially enjoyed their "Spaz of the Week" (or, in Spanish, "payaso de la semana" -- they did both) with Fernando Viña, when he played for the Brewers.
Sure, they were right-wingers, but they didn't seem too bad. The proverbial "Republicans with whom I'd like to have a drink."
But once * took office, Bob & Brian went off the deep end. I've actually found WTMJ (standard AM radio crap) in the morning to be more tolerable than B&B. It's usually WUWM for me, now (the NPR affiliate)...

|
freep. Occasionaly I'll turn the channel and hear their clinton's Crotch obsession.
I just listen to 91.7, Public Radio, and 102.1. Lazer can no longer have my consumer ear.
