2nd Aniv of great "pull down Saddam Statue moment" and No US media/photos?

Above is the great moment when freed Iraqi's praised Bush and pulled down the Statue of Saddam on April 9 2003. US Media made it look like more than the 60 folks bused in for the occassion. They did so because they wanted to help US National Security. It was not a Bush ass kissing - really.

Well this week we had a 2nd year anniversity of the "massive protest that two years ago to the day had protesters pulling down a towering statue of ousted Saddam Hussein". This time ten's of thousands of supporters of a radical Shiite cleric who once led uprisings against U.S. troops called on Saturday for American forces to withdraw from Iraq.

By the Way - no US Media showed this picture - since that would have hurt "National Security".

Indeed no media seemed to recall that Saddam offered to surrender before the war? http://dailykos.com/story/2005/4/8/231839/2192 - yes folks - Saddam offered to surrender, almost a total capitulation, before the war. He offered to let thousands of US troops into the country to search for WMD, and even offered to hold monitored elections in two years. Bush/Cheney refused these offers and took America to war so as to achieve the confirmation of no WMD and elections in two years because they needed the war for US election purposes.

But US Media can not discuss that decision -or force Bush and Cheney to explain that decision. National Security I suspect is the reason for the silence - but it may be because of their "liberal bias".

5. I'll bet the bush admin hates the Internets for reasons like this.
Thank God we have it. I can't imagine how much further ahead they'd be if they had, say, a ten-year head start.

2. CNN chick mentioned the Statue toppling like a real event
never bothering to mention that it was a staged media event. I am so embarassed by this country these days.

4. Every US station was complicit in pushing that bogus story.
I recall not being able to change channels without seeing the Saddam statue being pulled down.

All from the same camera, too.

7. NO, I meant that she just said it re: the anniversary
still pushing the same old propaganda, even when the story has been proven false.

6. Why no mention at 2nd anniversary?
