Adjusting the news to fit the viewer's "comfort" level |
|
Heard Dana Milbank on Sunday's Reliable Sources say something to the effect that different news orgs adjust the news to fit their viewer's comfort level.
I almost spit out my coffee. Just give us the truth.
It's a lot more "comfortable" than trying to figure out which news org is telling the truth and then which pundit skews more conservatively.

1. Well, even before the regime's decree, it was a business |

News orgs have advertisers, they have to consider ratings, and even if they were not under orders to keep non-Kobe news to a minimum and keep Crusade coverage upbeat and positive, it is just a business reality that people want to see stories about movie stars and sexually assaulted blonds and affirmations that USA is Number One!

States the truth as she she's it without being a screamer. Plus, has facts to back up her views.

You are thinking of Dana Priest who is a woman and an excellent reporter. Dana Milbank is a milquetoast quasi-journalist.
