is there a right-wing 1190 AM in the northeast? |
|
This happened a couple times last week: I was in my car trying to get Air America on WLIB 1190 out of NYC. But instead, I got Savage one time and Hannity another time. Then, after driving a few miles, they would fade out, and Air America would come in.
Is there another 1190 AM somewhere in the northeast? One that has the usual Repug format?
It was pretty freaky, hearing Savage one moment and the 7-8 pm AAR host the other. The discussion shot back and forth from air pollution to sport killing of Iraqi civilians. Aack!

I had the same experience when I was driving out in western Mass. last week. I heard what I think was Randi Rhodes for about five minutes at around sunset, but once the sun went down and the ionosphere rose, 1190 was taken over by a much louder, stronger signal from about four times further away, carrying the inane blathering of the dimwitted Hannity. A perfect metaphor for what we're up against.

Trying to catch a glimmer of truth coming out of the radio, in between loudmouthed, obnoxious Repukes.... it's like trying to pull in Radio Free Europe or something.
