balance sheets, but they aren't really working more, consuming more, making more money. That's my take. They are just applying their meager wages.
Besides, which Americans are rebuilding wealth. As a retiree, I can tell you that savings rates do not permit retirees to increase their wealth. Interest rates are high for you if you are a borrower, but next to nothing if you are a saver.

But thanks for posting it.
As an "american" trying to pay down debt, the stock market has near zero effect on my finances.
Americans I know are shopping at Aldi's and BigLots instead of Kroger's and Macy's.
Garage sales have overtaken the furniture stores for volume of buyers.
