I was just sitting here at my desk, listening to Randi Rhodes talking about the escalating chaos in Iraq and had this terrible thought:
We keep saying that U.S. actions in Iraq are estranging Arab nations in the Middle East... and that these actions are breeding a whole new generation of terrorists... and that this country has set itself up for lots of future retaliation... and y'know what? I think that's exactly what the Republicans are looking for. If there's no future threat, there's no future business for the military contractors who fund their campaigns.
The same assholes who can't seem to figure out that we need to think of the future when it comes to education, the environment, and our economy have no problem sowing the seeds of war for their future profit.
Am I just insane that I'm thinking this? Does anyone else think this could possibly be the case??

Richard Perle and the others are also setting themselves up in business to sell "homeland security" services.
Plan: Stir up a hornets nest, sell bee sting kits.

4. chaos in Iraq is all part of the plan |
|
don't but the b.s. that Bush "thought" we would really be welcomed w/flowers, etc. That was horseshit from day 1.
the more resistance, the more we need to respond, that is their hope and plan

5. Endless war. Chaos. New World Order. |
|
If there was any doubt at all, the new Iraqi flag convinced me that the idea is to keep the region inflamed. The new flag is appalling to Iraqi's because not only does it not have the traditional Muslim colors - it's has the blue and white, and layout of the Israeli flag.
Everybody pissed off and ready to fight yet?

6. It's really a combination... |
|
Of war being a business, of it keeping them in power with nationalism, of it keeping them divided, of it keeping America "on top," of providing security for Israel, etc....
It's really all of it.

7. perfectly logical assumption |
|
i admit it crossed my mind a couple of times.
the multi-trillion dollar military-industrial complex would quickly collapse without something to justify its massive, parasitic presence in a post-cold war world. Its very existence depends on it.
What better way to produce the needed boogeymen than to make an unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation. This is guaranteed to provoke them into attacking you.

We shipped out all our products. We have schools, government and WMD and they are working on getting rid of public education.
