I would suggest right-clicking on the link, selecting "copy link location," then opening a new tab or new window and pasting the link into the url field.
Nothing against wildbill; just general security policy. In fact, I will not even visit NIST pages while referring to them in discussion on this board for the same reason: IP info from NIST's site could be correlated with time stamps on my posts to identify me.

Unless you're using a proxy to surf, but everything can be traced eventually.
You really shouldn't click on anonymous links, though - I agree. You have no idea what some of these links could be trying to install on your computer. I do surf with Adblock and NoScript active on Firefox for that reason.
Also, wildbilln864, giving a bit more information about why and where we should click somewhere is just polite. Unless your point is only the Googlebombing and traffic driving. Then not treating us like discussion partners and using only enough words to entice Alice would make more sense.
