German friend on 9/11 truth and holocaust denial (Eric Williams redux)

The "Loose Change" crew have announced they are dropping out of Arizona due to Eric Williams's involvement. I'm not sure I would have done this if I were going in the first place, since Williams's sessions according to Arizona 9/11 Truth have been cancelled, and he was downgraded to a vendor. Not that I've made a public issue of it, but I wasn't too impressed with the way the conference was conceived in the first place as another "big tent" festival of tolerance for anything that claims to support inside job theory, even if it's been falsified or was ridiculous to begin with (like much of Loose Change 2). Nonetheless, the LC boys took a stance on something far worse, and good for them.

A German friend writes on holocaust denial as follows -- I wouldn't agree with his false dichotomy that 9/11 truth activists are either with LC or with the holocaust deniers, as I am with neither, but I do agree with the spirit of his letter:

LTW Crew, I really appreciate that you draw back!!!

I think most of Americans have no clue how the Holocaust-Deniers screw us up in our efforts (especially in erurope/germany) to get the truth out and stop the f*cking war on terror.

As I am from Germany: Williams, Hufschmid, Bollyn, please come to my country and I will prove you wrong. How many people do you know personally who smelled the flesh of burnt people from a nearby concentration camp? I know dozens. Because I come from a place not so distance from Bergen-Belsen (ever heared of it?).

What, you've seen a movie by David Cole or Historical Research? I'm impressed, that's enough prove for me. All people I've met regarding to this must be part of a conspiracy!

To make it clear as the deepest sky in summer: these people do us harm in large scales. Either they're cointelpro or just stupid ingnorants.

And no, please don't mix this up with the efforts by the zionists to use the holocaust for their political agenda. Exploiting a historical event or inventing it are two different things! I'd recommend you all to read Finkelstein's 'Holocaust Industry', which is actually an Anti-Holocaust-Denier book. (and btw, exploiting a historical issue is exactly what Williams does. Now as he got the controversity, now as he got the publicity I think he's book will be sold quite better. Making money from the mockery of the victims of an evil empire, hmm, isn't it that what 9/11 and the f*cking bastards who 'pulled' it is all about?)


Sorry, but I'm really pissed off! Not because of Williams etc. You will find stupid persons everywhere. But because this is exactly what THEY want in their effort to discredit us.

It's really disappointing. I really thought that this event could be the seed of something large.

But from now on, every truther has a decision to make:

I've made my decision long ago, and I'm very happy - and proud - that I didn't failed in my believe that you guys (LTW) will be going on the right side.

when I received this letter I immediately emailed and phoned this guy. You wrote:

I had the same problem, but my complaint was heard, and so I agree fully with you. Important is the spirit. Because whoever is looking for a new investigation on 9/11 and who is arguing with truth should not follow those who try to implement theories INSTEAD of truth.

Which comprehends "physical evidence" theories but especially so called theories which are the negation of truth. The denial of the Holocaust is not a theory like LC provides them but the complete denial of facts. Even here in the ruraral southwest of Germany I could show any visitor the remains of the Holocaust, including graves, concentration camp (Stutthof in Alsace), survivors and witnesses.

It is good and usefull to separate from these alleged theorists, and it is easy.
But what we need as well is the discussion how fascists could enter the truth movement. My point is:
It is not so much caused in the political denial of the Bushism. It is caused in the childish belief in pictures which allegedly "prove" this or that, in the hobby speculations, love of mysteries - so alltogether the lack of any scientific approach of so many truth seekers. They have no comprehension of the differences between an opinion and a statement, athesis and a theory, red herrings and true questions.

The poor qualification in discussion is originated in the daily media swamp swallowed by everybody. That is an explanation, but not an excuse.
