12. The new technology allows the calls to happen more reliably and with
less interference with aircraft systems.

13. Wrong airline.
He was on Southwest which doesn't have the specialized equipment you are talking about.

3. On landing descent.
The incident occurred as a Southwest flight from Austin began its descent into Dallas.

"After multiple requests, the flight attendants were not successful in getting the passenger to get off the phone," Southwest spokeswoman Brandy King said.

According to the police report, Mr. Jones was asked to turn off his cellphone and responded, "Kiss my ." When asked again, he said, "Kiss my . Not happening."

According to the police report, Mr. Jones remained on the phone about 20 minutes. When officers met Mr. Jones at the gate, he continued to exhibit disorderly conduct, police said.

6. The "Loose Change" crowd has edited their DVD so that
The notion that the cell phones didn't work is now absent.

The cell phones worked on 9/11.

I never saw the cell ph's working or not working as being necessary to the overall argument.

8. I haven't ever gotten my to work above 15,000 feet.
Both Verizon and Sprint.

I'm not saying that cell phone reception was impossible flying at 500+ mph and 35,000 feet over rural PA, but it was at least improbable.

9. Good to know.
I rarely use a cell and when I'm on a plane I enjoy being away from phones.

So I couldn't tell anyone anything from my experiences.

14. I have never gotten mine to work either
The cell phones on 9-11 are highly improbable IMO.
