Hmmm . . . Why has Rove crawled out of his hole? |
|
I went almost two years without even knowing what this guy looked like. All of a sudden he is part of the campaign photo op sessions - all smiles and full of fun.
Does he think his grinning ass will actually garner any more repug votes? He creeps me out!

7. Seriously, he is one of the most hideous looking men |
|
I've ever seen in my life. He just oozes evil. Those eyes, with the long eyelashes and feminine arched eyebrows. He's got a slight smirk, just like his boss. His face reveals someone who's sensual, and enjoys the finer things in life.
His pudgy belly belies a love of rich food, like eating lobster tails 7 nights a week.
Karl is smart, but he's not that smart. I'm impressed, but not that impressed. I could have researched the things he discovered about Nazi Germany and the "molding of the masses".
He wanted to create a fascist state, but failed to realize that too many Americans care about their country, and are at long last standing up for what they believe.
Besides, look at his boss.

since they've started this type of attack, I can't resist.
Rove looks like he's somehow the inbred relation of Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh, or at least some very unnatural mixing of DNA... maybe some failed cloning attempts...

8. It's The Rove Endgame...Pretend It's Positive... |
|
Josh Marshall covers this very well in TPM today...www.talkingpointsmemo.com.
By putting out this meme of Bunnypants ahead in the polls and all is going great, he wants to generate more positive press coverage than he already controls...energize the base into coming out no matter what his internals say to make sure those church busses fill up and show up on Tuesday.
The other game is to depress the Democrats...hell if this re-selection is fait accompli, why bother going to the polls. Sometimes I wonder here if it's working...but then I see how hard much of an effort is going on here and I know different.
Karl's out there since whomever he has doing the spinning...Gillespie, Melmann Munster, Troll Tucker Eskew, Wench Frau Karen Hughes or any of the other goons...the "man" has to show how it's done.
I think it's great we pulled him out from behind the curtain!

9. Rove thought he had the Perfect Puppet in Bush. Little did he realize |
|
Bush was impossible to improve. His brain misfires too often and at the worst of times.
Rove, Hughes, et al, can do only so much, Bush let them down? No, He is what he is. They shoulda known that. Bush was and is a dummy.

13. Opi, Rove Was Too Smart By Half... |
|
He thought you could just cajole, buy and lie your way. Say black is black enough and if people won't believe it's black, they sure won't think it's white.
He definitely thought he had a great meal ticket in Bunnypants. A Repugnican blue blood with an attitude...ideally suited for the slash & burn politics he learned from the masters...Atwater & Colson. He had unlimited money, lots of powerful friends and an organization eager to play the same divide & control game he does.
Damn thing is there's still 40% of this country (or I sure hope less) that is still buying into the greys this monster's created. I'm hoping once this election is done, some come out of the haze and we start developing a true political dialogue again, but I'm holding my powder.
It's such a shame how the Repugnicans have been so played and how it's resulting in such damage...most of it going on the poorest and least connected of their own flock.
At least on the other side we see a rising tide of activism and awareness this country hasn't seen since the 60's and lots of positives came from that time...it's about time we did it again.
Cheers my friend!

lessons well. Its too bad its a different time frame...and no one bothered to tell him.
All his tricks are no good these days. Its Moot. Old. and In the Way.
He forgot the thing Al "Invented" ... The Internet.... which will keep America clean and safe from the Pub Thugs. I am optimistic for Kerry and America but will keep my fingers crossed for 2 days.

28. Let's Not Take A Victory Lap Yet...LOL |
|
Like cockroaches, these slime will evolve and learn to harness the power we're enjoying now. While one can't envision the Internet being controlled or manipulated by a political agenda, our parents would have said the same thing about television a generation earlier. This time we just stay alert and ready to stand our ground.
Dirty tricks never go out of style and somewhere in that hive is the next Rove...probably even more dangerous. He/she will start their rise from the ashes and there are plenty who will covet that mantle since it holds so much money and power.
I'm just hoping for an affirmation of the true American spirit of justice and honesty. Let's see if that's enough to supress the Rove roches long enough that we can find some kind of RAID that works on them
Cheers!

I'm guessing that's what's on Rove's evil mind. Whether it's a return of Smirko or some other evil, Rove is looking down the road.

Rove's playing in the real big leagues here...the shelf-life of a Political Svenghali rarely lasts once their puppet is detached.
Even James Carville isn't the "power" he was after '92.
Rove stands to be a major target when the GOOP knives come out. Depending on how bad Bunnypants loses, expect Rove to weasel his way into a think tank or on some corporate board...to swill away into splendid obscurity.

with "sweeping plans" to "remake & retake government" - the same message that they played over and over thru the 90's.
They won't go quietly. And they'll never stop trying to get back the power.

32. They'll Morph...Just Like The Preachers Will |
|
The fate of the GOOP changed when they figured out how to manipulate TV...this goes back to Nixon's Southern strategy, then the ownership and rewriting of broadcast rules on to setting up their own seperate networks...Christian and other that fuel the stream we know of hate radio today.
I expect they'll retrench to the populist rhetoric of the past...cutting taxes (of course the moment Kerry takes over it'll be HIS defecit) so you can fit it down Grover Norquist's tight ass or supporting our "military"...by shilling for large defense contractors under the guise of the NRA.
No, they won't go quietly...and if they do, that's when they're the most dangerous. We're gonna need watchdogs like Mediamatters & Truthout and Common Dreams to keep us informed on what they're up to...and to try to stay one step ahead...ready to counter their bullshit before it's spread into fertilizer.

I first started noticing Rove being quoted in news articles and showing up in photos after the first debate. Usually he left the spin up to his underlings, but that debate went so horribly that he had to get directly involved and he has been quite visible ever since.

14. First Rove Sighting was Damage Control for First Debate... |
|
I think the humiliating fiasco of the first debate made Rove realize that his candidate was utterly hopeless. Now he has to stay close to him at all time and constantly coach him on what to say and how to act.
Rove will have nightmares about the First Debate for the rest of his life. It was probably his worst political moment. I think Kerry's landslide will not be as hard a blow for Rove. You win some and you lose some, that's life, but getting utterly humiliated on live TV with a huge chunk of the electorate watching and people all over the world watching has got to be the worst moment of his life.
