Bush hasn't one a single new state.
All we have to do is pick up one, and we win.

5. We WILL win Ohio
Cuyahoga County is a Kerry blowout and still over 80% left to report with give enough Kerry votes to surmount Bush lead.

12. No need to give up yet
Idiot King has won the states we fully expected him to win. I was sorta disappointed about Arkansas, I held out some faint trace of hope, but oh well, no big surprise.

When the "gray" states start crumbling toward the (R) column, perhaps we can start hanging our heads. Or channeling our anger.

For now, let's keep the faith.

17. Someday, the Democrats will quit pandering to the South
> I was sorta disappointed about Arkansas, I held out some faint trace of hope,
> but oh well, no big surprise.

And when they do, they will be able to formulate a
coherent message that will resonate with a bit more
of the rest of the country. At that point, they will
start winning elections again. This will entail *NO*
Southern candidates on the ticket "for balance",
*NO* embarrasment about supporting women's
rights, racial civil rights, and gay rights, etc.

16. this happens EVERY SINGLE ELECTION!
For some reason, the early returns ALWAYS freak us out, even though they are totally predictable and should have been expected.

Remember back in 2000, when the states whose early, rural district counts put them tentatively in the Bush column got switched to Gore at the last freakin minute when they'd finally finished tallying all the city votes?

Of course, we won in 2000. It was illegally taken from us by shrubby's friends on the Supreme Court.

18. Have some faith in John F. Kerry
I know, it's not about him. Or is it? Faith is irrational, and unwarranted, but dammit-he makes me believe it will be okay. Even though yes, I understand how you feel-I'm scared to death but holding on, remember the theme song:

No retreat-no surrender. Kerry is not going to let anything slip away.
