You guys aren't listening. Read this carefully. |
|
Kerry says every vote will be counted. If he wins, then he's be President.
He's taking the high road for now. If he uncovers fraud, tampering, anything, he can still fight like hell.
A concession has no legal ramifications whatsoever. It is good PR however.

The concession speech means nothing in the context of counting votes.

I think they're gonna fight all the fraud, and hopefully prosecute. We need them to pursue it to help prevent election theft and disenfranchisement the next time.

program away. FDR's new deal is about to be dismantled completely. My parents will feel the pain whether they know it or not. I already am beyond words. The fact that Kerry is conceding before all votes are in just burns my ass....

Doesn't matter if Kerry were to somehow win Ohio. People would just say he's a sore loser or a flip flopper, since he already conceded the race. Time to move on... :(

Kerry knows what lies ahead and how godawful it will be for us. To ask more of us at this time, to urge acceptance of it...sorry, can't do it.

11. Does it have to be KERRY who fights it? |
|
The DNC, MoveOn ... other groups can fight -- find the fraud, make sure all the votes are counted ... maybe find enough votes to trigger recounts here and there ...
I'm not optimistic ... but I think the fight can go on; meanwhile Kerry's speech makes him a patriot.

17. All kinds of parties might have legal standing |
|
But none would have the political legitimacy necessary to overthrow this "result" now that Kerry has conceded. The system will now close ranks, but you will get to read an analysis in Harper's in about six months to a year about how the vote fraud happened, if that is any consolation. A few books will be published too.

It will all be buried and covered up now. Conceding means that vote fraud will not be discussed, let alone investigated.

about this??? If he wins by recount of the votes in counties with good exit polling data that used Diebold cheating machines, he can still win, even though he has conceded???

They will still fight to count every vote. But they are doing it because that's what you do in a Democracy, not just to try to win.

The People Have Spoken Now all of those unborn babies will be protected and those filthy homos can't get married. That is what matters most.
I will not give a rat's ass about outsourcing US jobs any longer, nor will I care when the minimum wage is thrown out completely in order to compete with the superlow Third World's wages.
I ain't gonna sweat it when Big America is out of work, out of health care and getting fatter and sicker or when their kids are shipped out to whichever theatre their War Without End is currently playing. I hope they still feel self-righteous and 'resolute" about their mandate when the Piper's bill (plus 30% interest, conveniently auto-deducted from their bank accounts, plus a buck charge per transaction) shows up.
I'll be over there with the rest of the folks that those Xtian Moralists hate, joylessly saying 'told ya so" :(

26. All we can do is sit tight and see how this plays out |
|
With 1m absentee ballots out in Fla, and the count in Ohio it is still hopeful. If legitimate fraud cases ring true, great...If not, we need to accept defeat, buck up, re-organize and start over.
I have been sick at my stomach since last night, and I know this will take a long time to heal, but I am not throwing in the towel.
I am very proud of what we all accomplished. Look at what we were up against...the most powerful and sleazy administration in history. Kerry may not have been the best choise, but the guy faught like hell all the way to the final minute, and so did everyone! This was a milestone election....look at the number of people that got involved, look at the number of people that voted for the very first time.
I think we should look at what was accomplished here, pat ourselves on the back and get back to work.
