My Reverse Boycott -- it's time to make a stand |
|
I just read today that only 2/3 of Union Members supported Kerry. For me, that is the final straw. I am tired of Union Members who love to reap the benefits of the union, but vote Republican for the tax breaks etc. Some Union members treat us like the girl they take down to the boonies on Saturday night for a romp, but sure as hell won't take her to the Prom. NO more shopping at Safeway Stores for me!!!
No more small businesses either. I am tired of paying more because I believe in supporting local businesses. Their prices are not even competive, but I try to help out the little guy. Then they turn around and vote Republican so they can get a tax break.
No MORE! I am sick of it. I will shop WalMart Superstore from now on. It's time to hurt the Republicans where it counts...the pocketbook. Sure, I am giving money to big business, but they won't vote Democrat anyway. The small businesses defiantley reap benefits from guys and gals like me though, and so do their employees. I will NOT be giving money to Unions or small businesses, and plan on writing them and telling them why. I am tired of being used.
Sure, some people will be hurt, but maybe that is what it is going to take. When the guy at Safeway loses his job becaue he knows that I will not shop there with such poor Union voting records...maybe they will wake up. Maybe my local restaurant will get the message when I go eat at Bennigans, Applebees, Sizzler, or the Lone Star.
Once I get my letters drafted that I plan to pass out, I will post if anyone else is interested.

1. Great idea I'm with you on this one. |

And I am a small business owner but voted Kerry. It rather sickened me to find that a number of other small business owners in my area were pro Bush only to reap the tax breaks for themselves while their employees go without benefits or a decent living wage.
