any clever ideas how I can quickly tell the difference between |
|
little bushturd supporters and little bushturd opponents in daily life.
Obviously, if someone has a little bushturd sticker on their car or something, you can tell.
But what about random members of the public?
Any ideas?

This is just a rediculous question.

6. I won't resort to stereotyping |

But is there a "telling" question that I could ask?
Or maybe a statement I could make that would be likely to get a particular response from a bushbot?

those wearing rose-colored glasses or similarly tinted windsheilds are a dead give away
there is also that glazed-rapture-is-coming look in their eyes
those opposing bush* will usually be muttering disparaging remarks or spitting on the ground when asked about the (s)election

as soon as you start going by their skin color or the way they dress, or whatnot, you are going to be shocked a few times. I look VERY conservative, but I am anything but. I've seen people you would THINK are very liberal but are not.
You just can't tell.
Ask 'em!

If I ask, I'll get a high number of people refusing to answer or telling me whatever they think I want to hear.
Is there something that would be a dead giveaway?

I was raised in a military family. I have seen this conservative bent up close.
Even when Dems controlled the gummint, the military voted for repukes.
The little bushturd could sacrifice 100,000 of them on the altar of Fallujah tomorrow and they'd still support his travesty 80 - 20. Talk about morons. the bushturd fucks them and they die. he fucks us and we just lose our jobs and homes and health care and civil liberties.

Is there any religious "trick" that might work to distinguish fundy bushturdbots from "good" religious people? Some offhand-seeming religious pronouncement that might force a response that might expose them?

17. Ask them why the government provides disaster insurance. |
|
If they say it is because the victims need help, they are progressives. If they say storm damage isn't fair, they are conservatives.
I owe Lakoff (Moral Politics author) for this test. It seems to work about 100%.

I wouldn't put it past them to have organized disruptors who check out certain books and keep them checked out just to keep them out of circulation.
Sort of noncombustible book burning.

I recognize many of the names on the queues for left-wing books.
Many are friends of mine.
I hope no one on our side would even think of this; libraries are already hand to mouth. We must keep up with the demand, and it's an enormous expense to do so.

38. I would normally agree that |

conservatives would say that "storm damage isn't fair," but to a certain extent, it IS folly to build, rebuild and rebuild again on the sea coast, over an earthquake fault, in a flood plain, or in the shadow of a volcano. But don't you dare call me conservative.

But if you want to know which businesses deserve YOUR money, you can go to www.opensecrets.org and www.fundrace.org
and for local businesses, just ask the manager "Wow, what about that election?".. The way they reply should tell you what you want to know.
The money you give to repube businesses is recycled as campaign contributions to screw YOU..

That's the easy way. Or what's good on the radio as far as news/talk.
Also, I find that code phrases (many from Gingrich's time) leap out "The Democrat Party" rather than the Democratic Party is my #1 tipoff that I'm listening to a winger. also: "liberal media" "death tax" "school choice" "pro-life"
