Looking at Gore data for some idea of how campaign finances work
Question: how relevant is this data I found on opensecrets.org:

Total Receipts: $132,804,039
Total Spent: $120,031,205
Cash on Hand: $12,772,827

http://www.opensecrets.org/2000elect/index/P80000912.htm

Cash on hand? As of when?

Eh, off to the FEC unless someone else has a better site for looking at past candidates campaign finances, and how much they had left at what point.
