It's not just our army neighbors & friends who voted for Kerry... |
|
Hubby is active duty military. He has 31 troops that work for him. Of those 31 soldiers, 2 voted for bush. TWO.
3 soldiers are Independants who all voted for Kerry, 2 soldiers didn't vote at all;
ALL THE REST VOTED FOR KERRY.
And maybe that's why the reports keep saying the soldiers' ballots -those that have been counted- are favoring Kerry.

But are they refusing to count them? What is the reason they're giving?

9. Have you listened to randi? |
|
she pointed out they are not being coutned, I am betting they are being disqualified at higher rates...
And if they are counted why do you think they are not making any noise?
What do you mean the military DID NOT, en masse, vote for the Liar in Thief? Would not be prudent if the base learned this.

13. But she didn't give any reason? Or at least the excuse being used? |
|
No I don't get Randi. My old Mac doesn't have the proper software, and I can't afford satellite.

In many jurisdictions, if the volume of absentee ballots will not make a difference in the results, they may not be counted.

I know many folks in the Military and when I posted before the election that most did not plan to vote for Bush people bashed me telling me how wrong I was. Like you can be wrong when you know the people and they don't, LOL!
This little war is not as well received by the soldiers as we have been led to believe.

12. I talked to my old best friend today.... |
|
He is in the army as an engineer, and in Oklahoma currently. I asked him about possibly deployment and he surprised me by saying that he was set to serve duty in several different places, including Fallujah and Sadr City.
I (slightly tongue-in-cheek) reminded him that our common friend is currently teaching in Thailand and that if he felt he needed to get out that would be the most opportune position to head towards. He surprised me with his reply, and told me that it's like he has 450 brothers and that everyone would die for each other. I reminded him that they don't have to die for each other, there isn't really a need. He told me that the real point is that they would die for each other, and there is no one else he would rather be with.
I can somewhat empathize, but this is the kid I used to sit around with, drinking Johnny Walker we stole from our parents and smoking weed all while talking about the inherent corruption of governments and the bullshit that starts all war.
It was like I was talking to someone that I didn't know. Freaky stuff.

It really does come down to that for many. It's not country, or cause, it's making it out alive and making sure your buddies do too.

15. my husband is active duty military and I've been trying to say this too |
|
but people don't want to listen. And it isn't just the soldiers in his platoon or soldiers he knows outside of those he works with... Early this week, I was at the military hospital having blood drawn and the lab workers (almost all military) and several soldiers that were having their blood drawn when I walked in were talking about "PRESIDENT KERRY". Then, just a few days ago I was in the Emergency Room (had surgery and then complications that night, spent a few days in the hospital) and my husband was talking to some other soldiers while I was laying there and they were complaining about the Iraq War and about BUSH.

How in the world can they not accept the votes of the people that are putting their lives on the line for a war we should not be in?

21. Again I ask: WHO ARE THE 11 MILLION extra voters W got over 2000? |
|
We were told then that the army went mostly for W. So, we'd need over 11 million to make up for the defectors. Who are they? Martians? Amish? Ukraineans? Who??????
