But I thought it was something important -- not mind-numbing "reality-TV," "know-nothing" programming... And I do mean programming.

5. My son actually made me turn this on,... |
|
,...I'm already telling him that, the "liberal" family chosen appears extreme and is not reflective of all liberals while the "conservative" family chosen appears typical rather than the extreme of "conservative".

However, you don't think that Sherry is a bit extreme? She just said that she is Dan's mother? What a whack-job!

12. Uh, no they don't. I saw the opposite. The conservative bitch |
|
was ignoring arguments - because she couldn't win with "pray for the president" crap and suggesting military school because she didn't know how to have a conversation, while her counterpart was TRYING to carry on a conversation with idiots, who, btw, still believe Saddam had something to do with 9/11.
Of course, I've never watched this show in my life - I would never leave my kid to swap and I think the premise is more "anti-family" than anything the media screams the "libruls" are doing, but, hey, who am I to judge?

My son and I are going back and forth on our observations.
He laughed at me and said, "Hey, look,...at least the conservative family seems to be more impacted by the liberal one than vice versa!"
*LOL*

Cry me a fucking river lady!
Guess her ignorance is too much to deal with -- Dan, the teenager, got Sherry, the devote born-again Christian, to cry. She's a compassionate Christian when it fits her, but a few minutes earlier the cold-heartened bitch called people who want peace unrealistic -- never mind the fact that she and others like her (myself included) believe in a being for which there is ABSOLUTELY no tangible proof.

10. Question: Why is the woman more strident than the man? |
|
Isn't that interesting?
She's a hard-nose idiot. And this woman - in the blue - she's making sense and getting "pray for the president" crap thrown in her face.
The hard-nosed woman: Military school? What a bitch.

All of these idiot repugs still think Iraq had something to do with 9/11 and we are over there fighting to make sure it doesn't happen again.

13. Nae. I hate this reality TV thing the networks are going through. |
|
I watched about 5 minutes of the very first ones, and said, BS, I just don't like this shit.
I hope this streak will be gone by next season, along with the Apprentice type shows. Don't watch them either.

19. I agree with you about most reality shows. |
|
They bore me to death. But this one was quite interesting. I know they picked the extremes of both parties but it really showed how horrible it would be to grow up in such a strict Christian republican house. I felt sorry for that RW woman's kids and it was so obvious that they were happy when the LW woman got them to play and even got the father involved.
Maybe it will help some people see how being so ridged does not make for a happy family.

LOL! (I say this as I glance around a room full of toys, fingerpaintings, little "fire stations" in each corner of the room and half-written and abandoned pieces of "literature" from a Kindergarten mind).

20. I remember a family who believed in that woman "subservient" thing |
|
and the husband beat her and she never reported him. Sounds like The Taliban.
Any beliefs that are so strict and fundamental create abuse in my opinion.

family? I saw that one! The father ought to be jailed for his abusive behavior and the mom got the lesson of a life time! glad to see her and her daughter have come to terms with reality a bit!

Damn, I hate living in a red state.
Or, was that not shown yet? Local news has been covering a pro-war family (from KY) swapping with a liberal family (from MN)
