I've suspected they wanted to do away with public schools altogether
Scary, scary stuff

http://www.sierratimes.com/05/03/01/24_210_137_23_82390.htm

"All taxpayers should vote NO on all school levies because all public schools in America need to be closed. Our schools are teaching multiculturalism, globalism, conservation U.N.-style, and secularism, which means no God and no faith – all of which are un-American and go against the beliefs and values of most American people.

Can we please and finally say ENOUGH! Can we please stop funding the curriculum and people training our children to be globalist socialists and not Americans who value their liberties? Since when did American schools become blatant centers of Socialist re-engineering? Well, my first guess takes me directly to the No Child Left Behind Act.

America is being changed from a free country, where individuals and their human rights lead government, to global capitalist socialism, which is Global Fascism, plain and simple.

It only takes the social re-engineering of one generation to put America on a collision course with Kofi Annan and his sexually deviant forces, and that generation of American youth is being re-programmed as we speak in every public school in this country. Surely you’ve noticed that all our schools have financially “partnered” with some of the largest conglomerations in the United States? WAKE UP! "

9. Man how is THAT conservatism?
I don't know what THAT was but it didn't seem to be anything more than insane ramblings. More insane than even mine.

I think he rolls up every possible group into some giant conspiracy that includes everyone but the author.

2. global capitalist socialism?
Do they just string shit together hoping some combination will scare people?

Sexually deviant forces? That's just begging to be satirized.

But one thing really stood out to me:

"Surely you’ve noticed that all our schools have financially “partnered” with some of the largest conglomerations in the United States? WAKE UP! "

YEAH WAKE THE FUCK UP RIGHT WINGERS. School districts have had to whore themselves out to corporations because your party keeps stripping the funds from them!!!

Assholes. And then they have the gall to bitch about it.

3. Newt Gingrich Garbage
He felt we should do away with public education, and take the babies away from unwed mothers and raise them in orphanages. Of course, he's as dirty as they come. He was screwing an intern while calling for Clinton's impeachment. I've never seen two GOP'rs clean out their desks faster than him and Livingstone because of their outed womanizing. They sure moved fast. We saw their hair flying.

5. These people don't like public anything.
I believe that the writer is mentally inbalanced. WTF does eminent domain have to do with public schools? WTF do conservation groups have to do with public schools? I don't think we ever talked about eminent domain or conservation groups when I was in high school...

Oh yeah that's right... It's simply because these people don't want to pay taxes. Especially if their money isn't going to indoctrinate kids into this twisted property loving version of Christianity.

7. Well, if I remember rightly, I tripped over the publication once before
when some asshat swore he would make his kids enlist as soon as they were old enough. I remember screaming at the monitor "Why don't you go yourself, you chickenhawk." I bet if I did a search, I'd find it was the same Sierra Times.

8. The public schools have had "Channel One" long before "No Child Left
Behind". The text books seem to leave out liberal facts and reasons behind issues, even as recent as the 60s. I read my son's history book and was shocked. Then Channel One started being piped into all the classrooms with it's government approved propaganda. When They showed Bush just sit with that stupid look on his face when told about 9/11, the little commentator girl (about 9) said that he was "considering carefully" the next step, what a bunch of bull!

within the past week that is a partial copy of
this one. They did not include the entire article -
did have the vote NO, close the schools for a year,
UN, secular, no god etc.

I checked both papers on-line but cannot find
it in LTTE.

Some group is pushing their agenda.
