KNX 1070 Los Angeles airs interview on e-voting fraud and....... |
|
Edited on Thu Mar-03-05 02:18 PM by msongs
CBS radio news station KNX in Los Angeles broadcast an apparently live interview this morning with computer e-voting expert Avi Ruben from Johns Hopkins University. The gist of the interview was Ruben's contention that evoting was unreliable, subject to deliberate fraud, untrustworthy, and needed to be replaced with a more verifiable paper ballot system. Unfortunately I tuned in only near the end, so do not know how long it was, but these interviews on KNX are typically about 3 minutes or so, but at least there it was on the air........first I have seen or heard around here. Have written Mr. Ruben at his university to find out more.

Caught most of it and thought I was dreaming. Basically, he says you can't take the machines we have now and just add a paper trail. New machines have to be made(at great expense) and even then, it's almost impossible to say the paper vote is what really went into the machine. In a nutshell, we're fucked.
