Is this a battle for 2006 or 2008 or is this a battle for tomorrow...? |

Do we really have the luxury of planning political strategy 2 years or 4 years from now? Isn't the battle much nearer than that? The battle is now. Just as Bush plans on doing his 60-day tour, we must counter with our own offensive. Otherwise, two or four years from now, we may have lost the war by forgetting to fight the battles? Or perhaps I have grown cyncial?

I always maintain we have to plan for tomorrow--whether the "tomorrow" we're talking about is one day, one week, one year, five years, TEN years, 25 years away...
So...yes, we have to get a strategy together to fight Dub & Co. next week, next month, next YEAR..and his potential successors in 2008. Ditto for his shills in Congress.
