It makes sense now: GOP lets dems win SS-while sucking the life... |
|
outta people with other anti-progressive legislation. Dem Senators can crow about saving Social Security while the pukes pick-off a few here and there for other votes that will just barely pass.

1. I think along those lines.... |
|
It seems to be more a diversion from what is happening in Iraq. If we are busy saving SS we won't worry about all the innocent people getting killed and the billions wasted.......

.... you are giving Bush** too much credit.
Bush** really believes that SS needs to be "saved". Just like he really believed there were WMDs. And that democracy would spontaneously erupt in Iraq with Hussein gone. And that giving tax cuts to the rich would stimulate the economy. And that he could actually win a debate against John Kerry.
The fact that he is never right does not deter him. I've worked with folks like him, and they are they move from fuck-up to fuck-up without missing a beat. It never occurs to them that the disaster in their wake is of their making.

3. Sendero is right. * needs a 'legacy' and so far death and destruction |
|
and bills racked up by "Red Ink Republicans" lead to defeats in '06 and '08. The faux populist Private Accounts are just the kind of Trojan Horse destruction of Social Security idiots like Grover Norquist and Newt Gingrich thrive on ! The Mayberry Machiavelli's dig this double cross of the common man.

5. "Red Ink Republicans" - Perfect, I'm gonna use that ... alot! |
|
There are more that a few repubs that I know that will twist inside, hearing that phrase. Maybe a little 'cognitive dissonance' - delivered regularly, starting w/"Red Ink Republicans" will help them to begin the long recovery!

4. Bush may extend the battle (with no information from his side) for |
|
a year. That is sure to wear down many. I think the funny shape of his plan is because of the funny shape of the Bush Tax reform. Look for the two to fit together when Bush decides to inform us on either policy. So far he has not.

It would be nice to actually be able to trust them to stick together on rare occasion...
