DOes anyone know if there is a new 800 # to call our "representatives"? Or care that this great resource has been taken from us? I think we should petition to have the 800 # restored, it just shows that D.C. doesn't know or care what's going on outside the beltway.

Peace - :)

1. Too many people were calling and offering their views.

I'm with you 100% -- that really pissed me off when it was disconnected.

4. Thanks for the info, but 202 <> 800

I was hoping to get atleast 5 of my not-so-political friends
to call their senators next week about the filibuster and
judicial nominees issues (MoveON.org), and it's so much easier
to get folks to call a toll free number. I wonder if MoveOn
or DFA or ACT would fund a new 800# that automatically
forwards to the switchboard? Any other ideas, or anyone who
has contacts at one of the leftie orgs that might consider
this, please let me know by e-mail.

Thanks - :)

3. This was discussed in the election forum. After January 6, 2005,
after we tied up their lines, this number was disconnected. Apparently it was supplied to Congress by lobbyists and they didn't like us abusing their generosity! (heeheee)
