A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side: Aristotle

"The trade of the petty usurer is hated with most reason: it makes a profit from currency itself, instead of making it from the process which currency was meant to serve. Their common characteristic is obviously their sordid avarice." - Aristotle

5. i learn hitler was fairly religious! |
|
mygod, i thought i'd developed a pretty accurate idea of what the nazi phenomenon was, but it's only since bush's 'invincibility' has been made apparent by what he calls 'my bitches' (the mass media lol) that people have referred back to how hitler TOO used religion to consolidate and coerce nazi power within the German body politic... i refer to William Shirer's 'Rise and Fall of the 3rd Reich'....Shirer barely mentioned Hitler's religious beliefs, beyond the nonsensical nordic crap (based upon admittedly wonderful north european tribal myths, legends and traditions) which might have been intentional: the US had alot of the same thing as what hitler exploited, it appears(?)....

6. Politicians know : you catch more bees with honey than vinegar. |

The more pious a man is; the more devious his plot.
Even the Pope doesn't say that God speaks to him; Bush does.

7. the *appearance* of devotion to religion |
|
Lying is one of the fundaments of the nazi phenomenon.
Privately Hitler scoffed at god and religion, but in order to get enough popular support he pandered to the religious segment of the population - and there's only one way to do that: to pretend that you're religious.
For all i know it's the same with Bush.

8. Sounds like Machiavelli |
|
Except Aristotle issued it as a warning of what to watch out for, Machiavelli would've issued it as political advise to the evil.

10. Called 'forced teaming' when used by sociopaths. If a teen is in a bus |
|
station a predator will go up to her and say: "are you lost - my ride didn't come for me too". Instant connection wow you and I are in the same boat. It is how your guard as the victim is lowered. Bush & co did this when they started to praise Roosevelt to the high heavens just as they started with SS 'reform'.
BUNCH of SOCIOPATHS!!!
Bush uses religion too. But Bush is not the sociopath so much as he is the puppet brown shirt. The real sociopaths are behind Bush. And for sure they use his ability to jump from one crutch to another (without gaining self-knowledge) as a means to control him. We are told to 'know ourselves' in order to defend from manipulators. Bush does not know himself. His handlers control the information Bush gets... so bush's decision will be as designed by his handlers.
