any surprises in House Judiciary's GANNON discussion?
I don't see any commentary this morning on the televised action of the House Judiciary Committee to vote to demand the WH to release details of the credentialing of fake journo Gannon/Guckert.

Did anyone watch?

2. I now know what killed in committee means...
They haven't gotten to it yet and they've just gone on recess to vote. Back when the votes are done or 12:30, whichever comes later. Fella on americablog is saying this mean the votes will take all day and they'll never get to the gannon resolution.

I like this idea. I'm going to adopt it at work. I'll take a lunch break and get back at 12:30 or whenever my lunch is over. If I don't finish my work by the end of the day, I'll drop it in the trashbin.

If this would get me fired, why doesn't it get the Gummit fired? GR!

13. They're still discussing amendments to S. 256
This is the bankruptcy bill

Before the last break at 2:15 some of the Dems were accusing the Repubs of making a "charade of the mark-up process and embarrassing themselves by acting like robots" because the Repubs, en masse, are voting no on every single amendment the Dems are offering.

One of the Dems (I was listening, not watching, so not sure who) kept repeating when interrupted and being asked to yield his time, "I don't mind yielding my time to let you embarrass yourself."

14. My hunch: When the Gannon vote happens, eventually,
sooner or later (one would fervently hope), there will be a NEWS POP. I feel Bush's abysmal performance at today's press conference, combined with the juicy, salacious nature of the story, and MASSIVE PRESS GUILT over their GannonGayProstituteWhite House delinquency thus far, will combine --

and yield a NEWS POP of some considerable measure.

I also think the BushCo propaganda machine is ready -- or at least thinks it is ready -- for the pop this time. Expect massive skillful spin and massive diversion.

Terra. Terra. Terra everywhere.

Aye - 21
Nay - 10

Dead with all of 30 minutes of "discussion".
