ABC NightLine had a good segment tonite about Schiavo

I watched two hours of msm earlier tonight and it sort of saturated me. I don't ususally watch anything but I'm trying to see how they are presenting this. Actually it hasn't been too bad with this maybe because public opinion is so against what congress did.

4. This Guardian Ad Litem recommended that she be

disconnected from life support. In his final report he says that parts of her brain are now liquid. She cannot recover, she cannot respond to stimuli. His conclusion was that it was well within Florida law to disconnect her from the machines.

He had no allegiance to either the parents or the husband.

6. Between Nightline and World News Tonight

ABC just about completely debunked all the myths and bullshit concerning Terri Schiavo.

That was an excellent Nightline, and the GAL came across as being as concerned as anyone about Terri.

World News Tonight's reporting was very much the same thing, with the anchor asking questions of their reporters and their medical expert. The coverage they gave reminded me more of watching a FAQ for the non-informed on the subject. Good basic journalism minus sensationalism and opinions.
