Schiavo, Fundies and Civil war |
|
Well folks we have been on a state of COLD civil war since '96. Now we have Jebby telling people, no violence 'kay? We don't want no violence here, but we will try to save her by suberting the law.
Well I have wondered what would be the modern Fort Sumter, leadng to the ahem, heating up of conditions in this civil war, and actually having some people killed over ideology. I fear the pukes have pushed us to the brink and the shiavo case may just be the trigger for something that they will not be able to cotrol.
I hope I am wrong, but watchnig fundies have their kids arrested (now there is where CPS should get involved), and the Florida Senate trying t pass more legislation to take the woman into custody... and jebbies words, we want no violence, 'kay, is starting to make me wonder... has the right wing manouvered teh country to the edge of a hot civil war?

3. Oh trust me this will not be south versus notrht, |
|
it will be Right Wing verus the rest of the country....
but yuo are right, some will take it as an attack on the south.
The only thing similar to 1860 is just wondering what would take the place of Fort Sumter, but going from Jebby's words... I fear we are seeing it right now

In other words, the Radical Right Wing verus the rest of us, yes.
I hope you're wrong, nad. About lives being taken, that is.

11. The kids were encourage to enter a no enter zone |
|
they were arrested... their parents did encourage minors to break the law and in some ways endangered them.
The cops had no choice but to put cuffs on a ten and an 11 year old. Those two kids were transported to Juvie where a record was started. Greanted this record will be sealed when they turn 18.
Their parents encouraged criminal behaviour

I don't know how he's going to stick the police on the same people he's whipping into a frenzy without them turning against jeb and george in a big way.

|
hmmm ain't it amazing?
And if these people turn violent and ahem decide to start a -shooting, he will have to order the cops to enforce the law.
This is insane.. but this is why I fear they are unleashing a storm they will not be able to control

6. I have broken my no Corporate Media rule today,,,, |
|
guess I wanted to see for myself what they've been showing,,,,
goodgrief,,,, I have been shocked by what the people are saying, I have been shocked by CNN's non-stop coverage and anchors/reporters choice of words,,,, folks letting their kids get arrested is horrible.
I was thinking the same thing earlier ~ Civil War ~ if these folks don't get their way, the violence will start!!!

20. Civil war is WAY overdue ... |
|
It became clear that this country was headed for civil war when Clinton was first elected and the conservatives began to unify their disparate voices under a single money-making machine. Now the theocratic thugs who were at the core of that coalition have utterly seized all control of the Republican party and have all but purged it of those whose ideology wasn't "pure."
Unfortunately, it has taken us this long to realize in great numbers the threat these people pose. Some of us knew it in the beginning, but time and the naked political ploys of these gangsters - the impeachment being the most obvious - have proved it to the rest of us. Now is the time for us to consolidate in a critical mass.
It takes a lot to motivate us into a single action, but as we rose up en masse in the 60s we can do so again. It will be different this time, because these people are zealots and have a strange obsession for martyrdom. There will be violence and that may cause some in our ranks to question the value of the struggle. But liberty was not won in this country without pain and it has often been necessary to risk physical harm for freedom.
Civil war? Bring it on. Let's destroy the rot that has been at the core of our republic since its beginning and ensure a new era of social progressivism that will inspire the world.
