Spoke about how everybody wants the best for American intel and is working really hard, because in an era of war--I thought that was a nice indication of Bush's intent--we could lose tens of thousands in a blink. After petting all the elites concerned, and scaring all the citizens, he left the room so that others could take quesitons.

4. Tens of thousands in a blink, eh? Guess they want to scale up from 9/11 |

this time.
Note that he exudes far less loudly expressed feeeeeelings about all of the deaths and maimings he's already responsible for than for that one brain-dead woman who wasn't even aware of what was happening to her.
Words are not enough to encompass his monstrousness. When will more people begin to see him for what he is?

I cracked up when he walked out the door. (His script also revived the "hard work" phrase about five times or so, also.)

Mainly because it had been touted at a press conference, and then he strokes off these two guys about their important work at intel---then---goodbye!

6. Is it really suprising |
|
That when Bush wants to change the subject he falls right back to 9/11? It's the whole theme of his presidency.

President needs to figure out this public speaking thing - he went right from Terri Schiavo's death to 9/11 in the same breath/sentence. Not a clear way to get your thoughts out to the people.
I don't understand; that's it? That's all he's going to say about the whole thing?
I hate to say it, but the political impact is there will never be another Bush elected anywhere, ever. After a brief statement on "culture of life", President Bush is standing next to Chuck Robb talking about intelligence reform now. This is not the time to try to change the subject. Governor Bush's statement was equally weak. What a shame, leadership is needed. The ball has been dropped and they will not recover from this.
:woohoo:

He (quell surprise) managed okay- get your vomit bags out NOW-to tie the death of this woman to his "duty" to protect citizens and the clincher drum roll please- 9/11! YES, he was on duty protecting us from 9/11 and has done nothing but make us a safer-snort snort.
Oh and I'm screaming at my husband-no you freaking dirtbag-you are trying to subvert the consitituion and then once again want to tie every worthless thing you ever do to 9/11.
It was enough to make me want to march in the streets. (liitle housewives like me gotta pick the kids up from school but damn I was fuming)

terror, war, intelligence, we're gonna get them, they ain't gonna get us... as much as i am(was) tired of listening to the nutheads go on and on about TS, after listening to the busy boy this morning still going on with his obsession about war, terror, wmds, and all that crap, i have to say, absurdly as it may sound, that the TS deal provided for a breather from the constant paranoid gibberish of our delusional resident in the white house.
