1. He can probably do less damage to the world there

than if he stays in the Defense Department

2. (un)tacit deal
A tacit deal was struck, or call it extortion if you will.

EU countries have their own people in line for high level jobs in other organizations, and...

... you get the picture.

4. a blatant move to extend US hegemony over "third world" . . .
countries . . . not content to control Eurasia militarily, BushCo also wants to control the rest of the world monetarily . . . Wolfie will also ensure that the US dollar remains the currency of choice internationally, no matter how weak it gets . . .

5. Right now Joseph Goebbels is rolling over in his grave exclaiming ...
You beautiful bastards!

The Third Reich's propaganda machinery and power-grabs were not near the fine tuned "noise machines" and "in your face" thuggery that Bush-World's corporate media and well positioned power players are forming up to be.

This is truly awesome! <pinching myself> :scared:

6. The Neocons are incompetent fools.
Why would the EU want to stop them from destroying the Empire?
When God gives you a gift, do you reject it?

8. So you think the Shrubites initiatives have been a big success?
More debt? Lot's more debt?
A degraded, demoralized, and exhausted military?
A falling dollar, rising oil prices, and decay in US financial hegemony?
Vast portions of economic activity exported the Asia?
A large number of former imperial satrapies pursuing their own
interests independently now, and many more considering it, forming
their own alliances against the Empire.

It's better to try to identify something they have not fucked up,
but there is nothing there.

If one is playing Chess, and one's opponent insists on playing a
wildly aggressive game, does one point out his errors and suggest
he take his bad moves back? No.

10. I hope your are not happy about the Empire going down
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 09:40 AM by BlueEyedSon
beacause you & I are going down us with them. As long as we are citizens, we are part of the US economy, it's trade and foreign policy.

I thought you meant it would just take down the LEADERS.

:(

11. Opinions will vary, I am sick of paying for this shit all my life.
I don't think the Empire is good for the Republic, rather
the opposite. These pricks have trashed the Constitution
they are sworn to defend, given the economy a horrible case
of wasting disease, ruined our educational system, and pissed
off most of the rest of the World with their belligerent
actions and rhetoric. The notion that removing them could be
bad for us is ludicrous.
