Don't Put a Magnet on your Truck, Put your signature on a contract |
|
If conservatives want to "support" the troops, what better way then to become one. I know this is a challenge for bush supporters who think waving a tattered flag and putting a magnet on their vehicle is "support." Army recruiters are missing goal. Why? Because, worthless, mouthbreathing, constitution hating conservatives who think killing ragheads and gooks is cool are choosing not to sign up to do so. Why? Because aforementioned conservatives are pencil dick, gay fearing sissy boys who are only badasses when in large crowds of their own. Lurkers, prove me wrong. Flood the recruiting offices, get orders to Iraq and fight for your country. Why won't you? Cause your cocks are the size of your brains?
This veteran says fuck you conservatives, and you are very welcome for my time spent giving you the right to be cowards.

These legends in their own minds are wearing on me. Anyone can talk the talk, the walk is a hell of a lot more problematical. Do you know how hard it was to get into the National Guard here in Texas? We're talking act of god hard...

like those pansy ass chickenhawks in the White House misadministration. Sean Insanity is their icon and they don't have the balls to put themselves on the line and serve their country in a time of need.

Although, I have to say, I don't WANT troglodyte bigoted assholes like that in the armed forces. That's just asking for another Abu Ghraib.
Actually, that's the problem the military is having now - the people who would make good soldiers won't sign up to sacrifice themselves on the altar of Bush's PNAC agenda, whereas those freeping scum who bellow about "supportin' th' TROOPS" are too chickenshit to go join themselves (again, which is probably a good thing.)
The mere fact that these otherwise healthy young men want to heckle libruls for not bein' patriotic while they sit their ass down at the local cracker saloon and down a few Millers is just about the juciest, if most disgusting, irony I am aware of, however.

but do you really want those assholes in our armed forces? Think about it. Racist gun nuts in our military?
But if their enlistment makes them see the colossal error in their politics then it's worth it. Maybe they'll think twice before voting Republican again. Guns, God, and gays are not as important as staying alive.

|
You support our troops, I'm too busy getting on with my life to do anything more than purchase this Made-in-China magnet.
At a 4th of July parade last year, they were giving away small American flag magnets. Right in the middle of the flag in blue letters on a white stripe was the word "China".

25. I believe you are missing the point of the original post |
|
The point is *not* what the political orientation of the armed forces, but rather, that if you are going to beat the war drums, you better be ready put your butt on the line in the war.
Civilian Americans are *not* paying any price for this war. Only the soldiers fighting it (and their families).
It's pretty clear that the vast majority of Democrats do not support the war. And it's pretty clear that Republicans have used the war as a wedge issue to hurt Democrats.
If Republicans are going to do that, then they should be ready to make the ultimate sacrifice. It doesn't matter that the armed forces (prior to the war) were full of Republicans. What does matter is that the Republican party is led by Chickenhawks.
Most of my family, going back a generation as well, has served in the military (including myself). None of us are Republicans.
I think a more meaningful poll would have been to ask soldiers if they *wanted* to go to war and if they felt that war was a last resort. I bet you'd get quite a different distribution than those polls gave.

27. Do you support this administration? |
|
Do you support an administration that repays veterans by cutting they benefits?
Do you support an administration that needlessly endangers American troops by sending them off to fight in an unnecessary war (Iraq)?
Do you support an administration that is willing to sacrifice national security and expose a CIA agent to get even with her husband? Is this your idea of morality?

<Stalking Points: Also known as "bait and switch," Rethuglican attempts to divert any logic based discussion of politics with inflammatory non sequitur.*
This technique forces the opposing debater to "stalk" the rethug through a wilderness of inflammatory insults, labels and accusations with no pause for factual debate.>
I dont think there is any requirement for inflammatory insults, the non-sequitor diversion is the trick.
