Anyone else notice that Bush was almost late to the funeral?
Everyone else got there early. Prince Charles , the King of Jordan, Tony Blair, all of them . The funeral was due to start in less than five minutes when he arrived! He undoubtedly though that they should hold the funeral of the Pope for him! What an inconsiderate ass! I was also irritated at Clinton portraying such respect for Bush and walking very self effacingly behind the Shrub, until I realized he was probably keeping his distance to not be in the line of fire!

1. It was noted last night
that the visiting heads of state were arriving in an order set up by the Vatican. So it's possible he arrived when he was supposed to.

Not that he isn't still an ass mind you.

7. But they did say his motorcade left late!
And with those crowds, I am surprised he got there at all. When he walked in, they were periodically announcing the time left before the start, it was under five minutes. I doubt the Vatican told him to arrive that late. There was over a half hour between his arrival and the arrival of the last dignitary.

5. This was a great way
to call attention to himself. "Look here eveybody, I have arrived." You know in his mind it is all the shrub not the deceased Pope. I'm sure this was done on purpose to be noticed.

6. D-Day ...

Does anyone remember the D-Day Memorial service last year?

Shrub is the last to arrive, and he arrives late. Grand entrance, so to speak.
