Would you support Antonin Scalia being elected Pope....
if it meant that he had to leave the Supreme court and be replaced by a liberal?

1. It Would Get Him Off the Supremem Court
I think he is a member of Opus Dei. He and Thomas both.

2. That's a great idea
Get's him off the court and turns thousands of people away from the RCC conservative message on Abortion and birth control.

3. No, because a true liberal wouldn't stand a chance in confirmation..
with a combo of goopers and pseudo-dems such as the one you've pictured. Plus, I shudder at the idea of the consoviets having a bagman in so high a position in the Catholic Church.

4. Actually, I was thinking that Cardinal Law might be Bush nominee for Pope
A guy who covered up the actions of criminals for decades? He's a perfect fit with this Fraudministration. All it would take is a truckload of Diebold machines shipped to Rome and the PNAC Pope would become a reality.

6. The next Pope is unlikely to be an American.
I'd put the odds of Fat Tony becoming Pope at a Billion to One.

7. It could very well be a European
the Church is struggling for members in Europe, but not in Latin America.
But--Scalia is of Italian descent, a tie to Europe.
A powerful argument, I say.

8. Except that this thread is a joke.
Scalia is not in the hierarchy of the church for the first of a thousand reasons why he wouldn't be selected.
