FDA caves to Mentor Corp. and allows silicone breast implants |

back on the market. Patients will have to sign a release form saying they understand the implant could "break." Well if it can BREAK, why was it approved?
Just yesterday, the FDA said the ban on silicon implants should stay in effect. Today, a "surprise" change. The vote was 7-2 today.

As well as knots and scar tissue. According to ABC news, the more chronic conditions, like lupus, do not have a clear connection silicone implants in the research.

And with the new plastic surgery shows on TV (like Extreme Makeover), there will be a lot of women willing to take the risk with silicone if their plastic surgeon says it's ok.
