Bash * on TV with almost no effort!!! |
|
Every Dem who goes on TV, especially live, needs to weave his low poll numbers into every answer to every question. How? Easy.
Example: Corporate Media Whore: "Blah...Blah...Our Great President...Blah....Isn't he likeable?"
Dem Politician: "Actually no, his poll numbers are at forty four percent approval. That's twenty points lower than Clinton at the height of his impeachment. He and his policies are very unpopular."
Sometimes things need to be stated very clearly, very directly, and many, many times. This is one of those times.
Why bother? Dem politicians are the only ones who can or will carry the message to the people. The media won't and the repukes won't. Tht's why many average Americans still think chimp is popular, and still respect him. It's a simple way for our side to fight back.

Just like our BUSHness, you cant tell the voters (who voted for Bush) that they made a big mistake. They are either blind, deaf, dumb or maybe all. They think he is unable to lie. Funny thing...as i was driving I saw a lady with "save the wildlife" license plate on her car and "vote for BUSH 04" on her car. DID SHE NOT READ THE NEWS, THE TWO DON'T GO TOGETHER. BUSH AND THE WILDLIFE ARE LIKE OIL AND WATER THEY JUST DON'T MIX. That's what's wrong they don't know his bottom line and they cant see it. And if a media person does speak up..He gets fired. Don't tell me Dan Rather's, retirement wasn't forced after he reported our BUSHness's military record. All to shady if you ask me.

but we need to start chipping away at his armor. We have to start somewhere. The more we do it, the more effective it will be.

3. We're not the ones who can be on message |

I'll bypass the actual question as to whether this is a good idea to look at the bigger picture. This is the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Republicans get their talking points, and their people going on talk shows is on message.
Democrats are not organized in this manner, and it showed, for example, during the 2004 campaign.
Democrats will never get on message to the degree the Republicans are. It is easier for the Republicans. They care more about winning and power and less about matters such as principles and the truth. They have many people who will willingly say anything while many Democrats will not go along wtih this idea.
Still, there is information which is true and which most Democrats believe and it may be helpful to have some means of making sure that Democrats are supplied with such information before going on the air. This could include Bush's polling results, as well as the basic arguments against many of his policies. During the election, this should have included many of the attacks on Kerry, which many Democrats weren't prepared to answer.
