Oh. My. God!! The Dems actually won a battle! |
|
They effectively delayed the Bolton nomination!
It took the questions of a couple of Republicans - Voinovich and Hagel - but they're going to continue to call witnesses in to answer all the smarm that is churning out about Bolton!!
WAY TO GO!

6. But they'll be disappointed if they open it up. Nothin' there. |
|
I called Lugar's office today and spoke with an aide who was certainly brighter than the Senator.
Oh well. I like the outcome of this hearing on Bolton at the moment.
Cold beer and potato chips all around!

7. And they deserve our thanks. Let them know you appreciate it. |
|
We need to pound on them when they go along with Bush/media- but give them props when they work for the base.
Thanks DEMS!!!!

8. All the Dems were relentless in appealing to the senate's integrity. |
|
I think that is what finally turned Voinovich and Hagel into maybe's.

9. I agree - it was Voinovich's statement |
|
that he was concerned about the new allegations and wasn't comfortable voting to move the nomination out of committee without investigating the allegations.

14. Good job I guess. Personally I wonder if it would have been better |
|
to have that lunatic running around the UN pissing people off. That would be great IMO.
The real battle now is being descretly lost in the SHAM voting rights hearings going on. Conyers has been totally ignored and sounded the alarm. Where is the Dem support there?

Bolton's been pushed back to the doorway. We need to make sure he's pushed all the way OUT, and then the door SLAMMED AND LOCKED.
This. Is. NOT. Over.

This is great news. It is a delay but it may be enough time to find enough dirt on Bolton to kill his nomination.

i'm happy to say ''thank you'' when they get it right.
but there's nothing more important than letting them know we are paying attention.
